During this time of the year, during the Holidays it is easy to feel overloaded and burned out. Even Moses in the Bible felt this way in Exodus 18, his father in law gave him some good advice. Here are some ways that all should take note and need feel we are going to breakdown.
1. Make time for you
Me time is very important. Take 5 minutes to yourself whether at work or home and collect yourself and get you focused back on task. For me and my wife, I have a man cave away from kids and wife I need to unwind a bit, my wife likes to read in her recliner while I have the kids.
2. Have God and I time
You have to pray, you have to talk to your creator, sometimes don't talk just listen. Prayer and Bible time is very important to having a balanced and healthy Christian life.
3. Share the burden
We all like taking on tasks and think we can conqueror them ourselves. No you can't! Rely on other people and TRUST them to help and accomplish your goal. Be an encourager, do not add undue stress upon your life by being so negative about everything. Remember you catch more flies with honey.
4. Write down your daily tasks
Have a checklist no matter how small and check off what your have done. There is a sense of accomplishment when completed. This also helps you keep yourself organized. We are a little less stressed when we have a route and plan to get there.
5. Reward yourself
Not always money is a reward. Bath time, spa, reading a book, favorite food, something you deserve for a long day.
