"Visualization is daydreaming with a purpose." ~ Bo Bennett

Many people's reaction to visualization is that it's a lot of New Age fluff.

Not so fast!

Visualization is such a powerful mental tool because we can literally create the experience we desire if the actual one we want is not available.

It's a very real and effective tool. In fact, whether you know it or not, you practice visualization all the time.

Through our imagination and "visualization," we can create a virtual experience. Science has proven that the human nervous system is incapable of distinguishing between actual experience and the same experience imagined vividly in complete detail.

Worry is a perfect example of how we create the synthetic experience. When we worry about something, what are we actually doing? We are projecting ourselves mentally, emotionally and even physically into a situation that hasn't even occurred!

If you think visualization doesn't work, or if it's just an over hyped self-help gimmick, let's consider the following: Have you ever heard of anyone who has worried so intensely about something that they've actually made themselves sick?

The fact is, if a person worries intensely enough about failure he will experience the same reactions that accompany actual failure! He will experience feelings of anxiety, inadequacy, humiliation and eventually physical ailments such as headaches and ulcers. As far as his mind and body are concerned, he has failed. And if he worries about a particular problem long enough, if he concentrates and visualizes failure intensely enough, he will fail.

If you think about it, worry is the negative use of creative imagination and visualization. It simply can not be anything else. Worry is nothing but a vividly imagined, negative, synthetic experience. It can't be anything other than synthetic because it hasn't happened!

The person who worries about failure is unwittingly defeating himself, while he's literally "creating" his own future. He's feasting on a banquet of negative data.

If he spent the same amount of time visualizing success he would reverse the process. Instead of anxiety, apprehension and fear, he could develop confidence and self assurance.

Each of us, whether we realize it or not, constantly practices visualization and self actualization.

Why not practice visualizing the person you most want to become, or the situation or outcome you most desire? Through visualization you can become the person you wish to become. Use your spare moments to concentrate on whatever it is you desire. Put more into the positive use of your imagination rather than devoting your focus and energy into worry. It really is that simple. Show me a worry wart who doesn't achieve his "negative outcome."

The process of visualization, whether it be good or bad, works every time.

The mind is everything. What you think you become. ~ Buddha

Each of us is the product of our thoughts and experiences. Through thought, we can control to an almost unbelievable degree our experience and our environment. Whether we choose to direct our course through life, or not, is entirely up to us. The important thing is that we know that we can. We have that power.

With the beginning of each year, conversation naturally turns to goals and dreams to be accomplished in the upcoming year - the tradition of making "New Years Resolutions." Often they are bold, sweeping goals - exercising more, eating healthier, being more creative - that are said with the best of intentions and soon forgotten. I know I am guilty of this, does it sound familiar to anyone else?

The problem is when we make a statement to ourselves and others before abandoning it, we are breaking a promise to ourselves and setting a bad example for our kids. My parents always told me "Don't promise it if you have no intention of following through, it makes your word worthless."

Even if you do have the best of intentions, you will still have problems if you were never shown how to focus your energy on a goal and break it down into simple, doable steps. This is a simple process that they don't teach you in school. I see this all the time with my students, they dream big but quickly follow up with the word "impossible" because they think their dream is simply too big. They do not realize that almost any goal is attainable if you simply focus your energy on the next step.

Teaching children early how to break down dreams and goals into small, achievable, and measurable steps is a skill that they will use throughout their entire lives. Here is how to plan your goals:

Determine if you have a dream or a goal - The only difference between a dream and a goal is a plan. Dreaming is a good thing; it opens yourself up to new ideas and possibilities, but not all dreams should be turned into goals. Getting children into the habit of asking if their idea is a dream or a goal - and distinguishing the difference - is important. Dreams are a great way to stretch the imagination and explore different possibilities. One person's goal might just be another's dreams. What one person considers a dream might be the goal and focus of someone else's life. A dream can be abstract, but a goal is concrete and measurable. A successful goal has a time line and a plan for achievement.

Choosing your goal - Learning how to choose your goals is vital to your success. When choosing a goal, you must see how it fits into your life to give it context. If we can't see how or why we should set this goal, it makes follow-through almost impossible. This is one reason it is so hard for teenagers. What is their motivation to do well on a test? Get a good grade? Use this good grade to maybe get into a good collage four years down the road? This is so far away it doesn't seem real, it doesn't feel like an immediate concern. More likely, their motivation is "do well enough to appease the parents," a poor motivator that encourages "doing just well enough to get by." Getting into the habit of setting short, medium, and long term goals allows you to not only see the bigger picture but how actions taken each day contribute to success. Goal setting is a great way of teaching the abstract concepts of "cause and effect" to children as well. It can be as simple as creating a goal to read 10 new books in two months, or save up a specific amount for a new toy.

State your goal - Defining and stating your goal brings it out of the world of dreams and into reality. Goals should be specific and include something measurable. This could include a date of completion or another way of knowing when or how you have reached your goal. Doing better in school is a dream. Raising my in-class participation score from a "satisfactory" to a "good" by the next report card is a goal. Getting children to think in terms of goals is a great skill. This can be as simple as asking them what outcome or end result would they like to see. Do they want to make a craft for Father's day? Achieve a specific grade in a class? Clean their room? These can all be turned into goals that can be stated and measured. This is also a great habit to get into when communicating your wishes to kids. It gives them direction and gets them used to thinking in terms of goals and outcomes.

Identify "Action Steps" that must be taken to complete your goal - There could be hundreds of steps in a big or long term goal, something that often overwhelms people. By not having a clear idea of what must come next, the goal quickly becomes a dream again. To prevent this, the goal must be broken down into small, "bite-size" tasks. Begin by brainstorming everything you must do in order to complete your goal. Write down every step; some steps might still have to be broken down further, some might have to be done in a specific order. Then create a list of action steps. Keeping a list in front of you allows you to easily keep track of progress, decide what to do next, and track when tasks must be done in order to move towards your goal.

The idea is to make each step easy and manageable, something that can be accomplished in a short amount of time. Success breeds success and with each step completed, there will be motivation to go further. Breaking projects down into their most basic elements is a useful skill that kids will use their entire lives.

Visualize Success - Teaching kids how to visualize success is a great way to keep them motivated. Have them close their eyes and pretend they have just reached their goal. How does it feel? What emotions are they feeling? What does the scene look like? Teach kids to keep this firmly in mind, especially when they are feeling overwhelmed or unmotivated.

Tracking and Celebrating Success - You should not just celebrate when you reach your final goal, you should be celebrating every step of the way. This keeps you motivated and allows the journey to be honored as much as the destination. It is also more fun, which is important for kids. You don't want them to dread setting goal because it is boring, or too much work. This is the time to teach them that with hard work comes great reward and it doesn't have to be boring.

Each child will be motivated differently, but most of the time they need concrete and visual ways of marking success. Some children will get great enjoyment from being able to cross an item of their list. Others need a visual representation of getting closer to their goal. This might be a collage that can be added to or a progress thermometer to fill in. You could create a mountain out of poster paper and hang it on your kid's bedroom wall with a little paper doll that he or she can move up the mountain each time they complete a step towards their goal. You can assign points to tasks and whenever your child has gotten a certain number of points they can choose a way to celebrate, such as a special family dinner, taking a break and having a special day trip, or perhaps another reward that is goal related - if it is your child's goal to read 2 books each week for a month, after the first week you could surprise your child with a new book.

Tracking and celebrating success and building mini-rewards into your goal setting important for adults too. I am a list person: I love being able to have a goal at the top of a page, list the steps I need to take and to cross them off. My friend has a computer program that allows you to assign points to tasks and gives you a tally at the end of the day.

Helping your child find a system of goal setting that works well for them is important for success, and as our society moves away from "structured" jobs into the world of freelancing, entrepreneurship and working from home, having the skills necessary to identify goals, plan them out, and follow through are essential.

Business book summaries wrap up everything important to know about a topic, succinctly. Dry boring text books are difficult to read, so instead of struggling with one, get the summary. This sums up the key facts from the book, removing unimportant chapters. Often it is just more simple to understand what the book is trying to say, when you do not have a whole lot of filler information.

The background most books begin with is of course important. If it had no importance, it would not be there. When you read a book though, you skim over long sections, and your brain picks out the most important parts, ignoring uninteresting background anyway.

The main information is what we remember, and knowing what this is and how to remember it is a distinct skill. To have someone find the facts and publish them on their own, is to save a lot of time. This is exactly what executive book summaries do.

Of course, the background provided in full length books is important. It would not be included if it was not. However, when we read a book, we tend to skim over the less important information anyway, and very rarely take in or remember everything we read.

We remember the most important points, and learning to pick these out and memorize them is a study skill. If somebody selects them and writes them down for you, you are saved a lot of work. Executive book summaries do just this.

In terms of deciding whether to read the book or the summary, you need to consider carefully. If you are required to know everything about the subject, you should choose the book. If you only need to understand it, an overview is ideal.

If you are writing executive book summaries, you will have to understand your topic in order to pull out the facts. A good technique is to read a chapter, then write down your understanding of it, you will be summarizing already. Afterwards you just need to ensure you have included all the detail necessary.

Your summary will be popular with students and businessmen alike. This means you have a business opportunity at hand. You will need to avoid plagiarism, and target your notes to your desired customers. So, a colleague will want some which give him hints as to what to talk about in meetings, but a student will want exam notes for essay writing. Business book summaries are a resource to make your life easier.

What is a habit? Habits are recurrent, often unconscious patterns of behavior that are acquired through frequent repetition. In fact, we live a good portion of our lives unconscious. That is, we operate on autopilot, doing what we've always done, without needing to give it much, if any thought. It's estimated that our brain consciously processes less than 1/3 of one percent of the signals that we receive from our senses. That's a good thing, in some cases, because it allows us to walk and chew gum at the same time. But for those of us who want to do more than that, we need to get conscious and purposefully choose our behaviors rather than having them choose us.

Why is changing habits so difficult. It's not just about discipline and willpower. When you do something often enough, you begin to create a 'rut' in the part of your brain called the hippocampus. I liken it to a tire track on a soft dirt road. Each time you do that behavior, (drive over that road), the rut gets deeper. At some point, it gets so deep you can't drive out of it. It, not you, steers the car. Habits work the same way. After a while, the habitual behavior, not your conscious thought, is running the show. In order to change a behavior, you have to create and practice a new, different and more effective one. You have to create a new rut in the road. And, you have to have a conscious thought or intention about using the behavior before the automatic one takes over. With enough practice, the new path becomes the new habit, and the old, one, now unused, gets covered over with brush and is impassable.

So, how do we go about replacing old, ineffective habits with new ones?

Here are 8 keys to creating new habits:

  1. Become aware. Notice or be made aware of the ineffective behavior and how it is affecting us.. That might happen when we get on the scale, have a car accident, get feedback from our boss or go to see a doctor.
  2. Describe the specific new behavior you want to adopt. Clearly describe the specific behavior you want to start doing and make your new habit. You'll be far more successful moving toward something than moving away from something. If you want to stop smoking, you have to find something that is pleasurable and healthy that you want to start to do instead. And, the more specific you can be in describing that new behavior, the better. Focus on behavior vs. results: Eat healthier food vs. lose weight or be fully present and listen to my children vs. have a better relationship with my kids.
  3. Visualize yourself using the new behavior. Sit quietly and do a visualization so you can get a clear picture. Notice what you are doing, who you are with and how you are feeling. Embrace that vision with all of your senses. Really experience it.
  4. Identify the value/benefit/outcome of using the new behavior. The change isn't going to be easy so there needs to be a payoff. What's in it for you? Be sure that the benefit is of value to you and not someone else's 'should'.
  5. Identify your early warning signals/triggers. Usually, a bad habit is triggered by some event, feeling or other external cue. For example, many people eat when they feel stressed, become defensive when someone disagrees with them. Determine what happens in your life that causes you to use the current behavior. What sensations do you get in your body that might be clues that you are about to behave in your habitual way? Who triggers you? What situations make you vulnerable? These events and feelings, like the lights in your car's dashboard, are your early warning signals that your old, ineffective practices are about to rear their ugly head.
  6. Develop physical cues to remind you to replace the old behavior with the new. In the heat of the moment, when you begin to notice the triggers, what can you do to make a conscious choice to behave differently or you can enlist a buddy to help you out by pointing out your old behavior and reminding you to use the new response.
  7. Celebrate each success. Notice and document the outcome of using the preferred behavior. Reinforce your efforts by acknowledging your progress and realizing the benefits.
  8. Practice, practice, practice. Over time, the new behavior will have created a new rut in your hippocampus and the old one will be over grown with weeds and impassible Then, as your new habit becomes an old habit, check in with yourself and be sure it doesn't outlive its usefulness.

In the year of 1892, zirconium oxide was first discovered. Cubic zirconia rings are blended forms of zirconium oxide with yttrium oxide and alternative to diamonds. Generally, this artificial compound is colorless and extra materials can be included to fabricate any colors. Cubic zirconia rings can be your outstanding choice to make a great gift for your beloved person.

This cubic zirconai is an identical form that hard to identify which one is real diamond in comparison with diamonds. In jewelry fields, these rings is an indispensable rivalry with the real diamond rings or ornaments.
The scientists of formerly known Soviet Union first produced these stones in lab fusions. About 2600 Kelvin or 4000 degree Fahrenheit yttrium oxide is blended with zirconium oxide. In such a high temperature, zirconium forms a shape of isometric or cubic stone. While you are trying to have imitation of expensive treasure for your jewelry items, cubic rings can fulfill the place of real diamond which is not so easy to differentiate.

Cubic zirconia engagement rings are reasonably alternatives to diamond rings. Undoubtedly, it resembles the diamond one but there is difference in pricing. As CZ rings are not expensive and looks like diamonds, several of zirconium rings are obtainable in markets. Cubic zirconia, as it is a stone resembling diamonds, people are more interested to purchase it.

You can put the Zirconia stone in a ring which is made from gold, silver or any metal you desire. 10k, 14k or 18k gold rings with CZ (zirconia) stones both in white and yellow gold are available in markets. There is also an option for your personalized design to make a cubic zirconia engagement ring from Wal-Mart or from your selected shop.

A fusion of gold-silver ring with CZ stone is also a beautiful and attractive one which you can find in amazon.com. if you are interested in shopping with the hope of a diamond like ring but the amount does not cover your hope, then a replica of cubic engagement rings which called man made diamond can be your only choice that resembles diamonds.

If you are willing to purchase something rare for your friend's wedding, you can try zirconia wedding rings that resembles diamond ring and it is not so easy to recognize that which one is CZ ring. These CZ rings are made of gold and silver with CZ stones and you can choose your own from various colors.

Through a fusion of yttrium oxide and zirconium oxide at approximately temperature of 2300 degree centigrade cubic zirconia stone is prepared. Zirconium becomes cubic or gets isometric shape as a result of so high temperature. This change relapses if a stabilizer is not added in newly formed z.

Again, you can have a diamond wedding ring and say your jeweler to make a duplicate with cubic wedding rings that can be used for everyday purpose. These zirconia rings are attracting and glitter as same as diamond one does. And your dream of having a diamond ring all will be fulfilled.

Monks are great inspirations for simplifying your life. In fact, most of them live their life based solely on that principle. However, people don't exactly have direct access to these monks since most of them live in temples and monasteries.

If you want to know how to go about simplifying your life the way monks do, then let me share with you just how these guys do it.

Step 1: Slowly But Surely.

What's the rush? In your haste to do your homework or get to school, you end up forgetting a bunch of different things. That then leads to you making a mess out of everything. One thing leads to another, remember?

If you want to simplify your life, don't rush everything you do.

If you're worried about being late for class because you wanted to be slow and sure in preparing your things, then wake up early so you'll have enough time to do things slowly and surely. Monks are quite famous for being early birds too, you know.

Step 2: One At A Time.

Simplifying your life shouldn't be too hard. But if you're the type who just loves to multi-task, then it's no wonder you're all over the place.

Why don't you try doing things one at a time? Make sure you plan your schedule well, so that you'll have time to do all that you have to do today.

If you really need to multi-task, however, make sure that you pair the easy tasks with those requiring more concentration. For example, you can babysit while studying for your exams or you can make breakfast while you're catching the morning news.

Step 3: Discipline Yourself.

To be honest, simplifying your life is easy. Sometimes, people make things complicated. They're the ones who are inviting all the drama into their lives. Think about it. You always have a choice whether or not you'll entertain something in your life or not.

So one of your co-workers (who you're not attracted to) has a crush on you - it's up to you how you want to interpret it. If you want a simple life, then don't pay any attention to that fact. Unwanted office romance - that can get pretty complicated, don't you think?

These are the necessary steps to simplifying your life. After reading this article, I hope that you can now sort out your life and have a very simple yet very fulfilling life. You don't have to be exactly like a monk to have a peaceful life, but it sure doesn't hurt to make like one!

I'm not sure how many of you are familiar with the story about the mountain climber Aron Ralston who got himself stuck between a rock and a hard place. The book came out a few years ago and the movie 127 Hours recently went into theaters. I watched it the other day and couldn't help but relate it to the importance of successes and failure in internet marketing. Bare with me, this example is a little extreme but will teach you how to overcome your fear of failure.

Whether you're walking your dog in the park, mountain climbing or investing into a new business, they can all be considered risky. It is rare that something bad will happen but you can never be 100% sure that something bad won't happen. All we can do is hope for the best, have some hope and prepare for the worst.

Even if you are neurotic and you think you have a 5 year daily schedule for every possible failure in the book. There are always circumstances beyond our control that we will not be prepared for. It is the leaders with hope and motivation that find the answers, overcome failure and get back up on their feet the quickest.

Aron Ralston had enough water and food for a few days even though he planned on only being gone for a few hours. After traveling miles through the Utah canyons he unfortunately found himself fallen into a crevice with a boulder trapping his arm. There was no way to move the boulder, he was completely alone and it soon became a life or death situation.

He spent 5 full days overcoming elements, hunger, thirst, mental breakdowns and physical pain. After examining each supply he had in his climbing bag he attempted each one together and separate to help free his arm. He tried things that seemed impossible just to eliminate the 1% chance that it might work. When most people would quit, he never gave up. From chiselling a giant boulder with a dull knife to using ropes as a pulley to try and get the boulder to move, every possible option was explored.

You might know what happened next. Aron ran out of food and water and was completely exhausted. He knew he only had one option left. He endured the pain and risked his life to see his plan go through. He had something to live for, he had hopes and dreams and was not going to let this boulder get in the way of his life.

Aron walked out of that cave with one arm and attempted the 8 mile trek back to his car, a journey that would likely kill 98% of people. He was luckily saved a few miles out by some other climbers. He survived a treacherous battle of life and death.

The point of this story...

Keep your eyes on the prize and know that failure will creep into your life. Things will hold you back whether it's friends, motivation, boulders or even Facebook changes. There is always something that will be pulling you in the wrong direction or not let you move ahead, maybe its finances or lack of free time.

Try to accept that failure will happen and keep working on finding something that works for you. Whether it's a new lead generation technique or starting a whole new business. There is always a new option that needs to be explored.

When you do not know what options work you need to try absolutely everything else. Not everything is going to work for you but in order to discover what does work you need to discover what doesn't.

Try not to see failure as a step back. Look at it as a leap forward. You have eliminated an option that doesn't work and now you will not waste time on it again. It is time to move on to something new and learn from past mistakes. It will only make you a more knowledgeable person in the end. The more you try the closer you will be to finding the method that had only 1% chance of working and you will end up in successville.

It's a matter of changing your life and making it better. It's a matter of achieving your dreams. What is stopping you and how will you be able to overcome it?

I'm not telling you to cut your arm off. If that's what you got from this post I apologize for not making it clearer. I know this was an extreme example of relating a life or death situation to internet marketing but I hope I got the importance of how to overcome your fear of failure into your heads.

In Saint Exupery's The Little Prince, he states, "It is only with the heart that one can see rightly, what is essential is invisible to the eye." The heart is not just a physical organ, it is an energy center, a place of consciousness, a space of expanded awareness of the existence of essence, the essence of the universe which is love, that lives and pulsates inside of us. It is our most natural state. Our "other" states are those of lifetimes of learned distortions of the essence of our True Self.

My teacher says, "We use the mind to heal the mind." He is referring to the True Mind, which lives near the physical heart, not the brain. All distress that isn't life threatening is based in learned distorted perspectives of our mental patterns, sometimes referred to as "belief systems." These belief systems repetitively replay like cassette tapes in our mind. Our belief systems can either perpetuate a state of well being and ease, or a state of distress. Some of us who may already be working with positive thinking, understand this concept. But the question is, if "positive thinking" were really that effective, why hasn't it worked for me consistently? Why do I still struggle with old repetitive negative hurts?

If you look at a cell under a microscope its natural life force impulse is to move. If you restrict its path, in one direction, it will look for movement in a different direction. If you continue to restrict its path until it can no longer find a path for movement, it will pulsate in place, its walls will begin to thicken, and finally, it dies. Inherent in our nature are spontaneous creative impulses looking for life force expression in every direction. When one direction is thwarted, we create defenses, we then look in another direction until we can find movement. The more restricted our possibilities for movement, the thicker our walls become. These restrictions and walls create rigid patterns in the neurological matter of the mind.

The subconscious and unconscious mind retain these deeply patterned thought rigidities. These patterns have an energetic dynamic that originated in our childhood, infancy, and uncountable past life times. These unconscious patterns express themselves as restrictions to our present life interactions, relationships and ambitions. They cause us pain, distress, a sense of low self esteem, insecurity and other limitations. As much as we may possess an intellectual, rational understanding about "why" we may feel defensive or insecure in a particular situation, it often does not diminish our feelings of discomfort. Our frustration lies in the knowing presence of our True Mind that senses we are capable of more pleasure.

When we explore the invisible electromagnetic realm of the physiological and energetic dynamic that contains the constricting experience of discomfort, the light of consciousness exposes the distorted cellular memory message and brings about a "combustive experience" that necessitates change. Conscious awareness of the emotional content, life force (unconstricted breath), and cognitive understanding, release the cellular trauma from its rigidified state and allow that once stagnant rigidified energy of the belief systems to again flow freely. It can feel something like an internal shower of tingling sensations, that can be experienced as invigorating, highly stimulating, small body spasms, or fluid electricity that floods throughout the body. This energy then "washes" over the mind, the experience itself bringing new insights and clarity where there might have been confusion or doubt.

This process is not "magical," it is physiological, though our responses to it sometimes feel as though it is miraculous, enlightening, and uplifting. This process is the activation of the body's natural innate self-correcting healing mechanism bringing us closer to the heart's natural state which is one of unconditional love and The True Mind's natural state, which is one of clarity and serenity.

Can you learn to speak Spanish fluently in as little as a few weeks? You might be able to do this if you follow along with The Accelerated Learning Spanish System. Such a program is specifically designed to help you attain your goals. Such goals are definitely valuable ones to possess. Learning Spanish can open many personal and professional doors.

This is why a valuable learning resource is so vital to look into. The ability to learn a foreign language is one that requires great effort and commitment. Some individuals are so committed to learning a language they will purchase home study programs intended to boost their success potential with learning the language. A few home study programs out there do not really deliver much in terms of value. In particular, they simply present words and phrases, translate them, and ask you to repeat them. Is this a decent way to learn a language?

Hardly! You need a much better process and it is a good thing such a process exists. It comes in the form of The Accelerated Learning Spanish System by Colin Rose. If you want to join the ranks of the millions of people that speak Spanish fluently, this system by Colin Rose is well worth exploring. The comprehensive nature of this system alone makes it one worth looking closer at. The Accelerated Learning Spanish System by Colin Rose is comprised of 12 audio CDs, a "physical learning" DVD, a language book, an accompanying workbook, and helpful word cards. Again, this is a very comprehensive learning package that covers a lot of ground. Some may be saying that there are scores of other learning resources on the market that proclaim to present similar audio, video, and text packages. (They might even have their own flash cards, too) What makes this particular program so valuable? It simple does things better than its competition.

The material is better organized, designed, and presented. As a result, it becomes a lot easier for the student to learn. The Accelerated Learning Spanish System can serve as supplementary support to a formal learning program or it can work as a stand alone educational source. Either way, it will deliver the intended results to the person that purchases it. Of course, the buyer does need to put in the required effort to learn the presented material. This program is easy to learn but it is not one that does not require effort. The system employs music, games, and advanced linguistic programs to deliver a total approach process to learning the language. The uniqueness of the program sets it apart from its competition. More importantly, it allows it to instill language skills better than its competition. That certainly has its value as well. The Accelerated Learning Spanish System by Colin Rose is a solid program. Those serious about learning this language are well advised to look towards it as a decent means of developing conversational skill. Seriously, this program is head and shoulders above the other available systems. It truly is that remarkable.

What comes into your mind when the word "mindfulness" is mentioned? This is a state of being courteous with an issue at hand. This sense of awareness (of something happening around you) is initiated by your ears or eyes. This awareness is more within the person based on the outside happenings.

The problem with many people is that they don't give this state of Mindfulness the necessary consideration due to the rush to understand what is happening. The difference between trying to understand the situation and mindfulness is that the later brings you to a state of awareness which in return makes you more open to respond and avoid the temptation to be negative.

When a person is mindful, he or she will be concerned with an immediate happening. This is an empowerment of the mind to specially focus in an issue at hand. This is done neutrally without conclusions being made.

Since mindfulness involves an unfocused awareness by the mind, it brings awareness to the person of what is happening in him. It is a concept imbedded in a person and it's both philosophical and cultural.

It has been proven that the art of mindfulness can be a very powerful tool which when used can reduce the stress level as well as better the psyche of the person.

The art of mindfulness can be improved or developed by employing one of the following methods; yoga, mindful thinking or walking and music therapy - listening to music. One may opt for eco therapy which involves taking time and being with the nature or even do "mindful breathing".

Mindful meditation is however different from concentration meditation. In the later, the person is required to restrict their thinking only to a particular point or focus. This focus can be a word, a thing or even a thought. The thought are ensured to stick to that focus by all means.

The major different between the two is that mindful meditation covers a bigger scope of thought. In this, the mind will focus on both the internal as well as the external stimulus. The point is to be able to recognize any change occurring either within or without the person.

What's holding you back? An unknown individual said "It's not who you are that holds you back, it's who you think you're not" What you truly believe about yourself sets the tone for choices you make in your life.

It is important to identify the messages our subconscious reinforces about what we really believe about who we are. This is not an easy task to accomplish, because it often involves some real introspection and often we find something painful in our revelations. If you can give yourself the time to work on this, either on your own or with the help of a professional, you'll open yourself up for true growth in any aspect of your life.

A simple exercise is to sit in a comfortable quiet place where you won't be disturbed for 10-20 minutes. Take out a piece of paper and a pen and write the words "I am", then just write down as many completions to the sentence as you can think of. Don't think about it too hard, just write whatever comes to mind and don't censor yourself. There may be thoughts you come up with that make you uncomfortable; those are likely the very beliefs you have deep down about yourself that you need to address. In my case, one of my biggest struggles is my fear of public speaking. I have used my feelings about my appearance to justify choices I have made and in the end, these choices inhibited my personal and professional growth. Understanding that, I was able to take positive steps to affect change.

So, what can you do to break through your barriers? Here are 5 exercises to help you:

Visualization - Think of a picture, a mental movie of yourself doing something you really want to do and that you're doing it successful. Be as specific as possible and write it down! Every day, run this "movie" in your mind for 30 days.

Affirmation - Create a list of at least 3 statements that you say to yourself that tend to limit you, then rephrase it so that it empowers you instead. For example. "I am overweight." Change it to "I am going to substitute a piece of fresh fruit for that bag of chips when I get hungry for my evening snack." Again, write it down! Say them out loud to yourself several times a day or read them for the next 30 days.

Education - Write down at least 3 things you can do NOW to further your education that relates to your goals. Association - Write down 3 individuals that you should spend less time with because they detract from achieving your goals. Then write down 3 individuals you should spend more time with.

Action - Write down what you will do in the next 10 days to move forward. Make a checklist! Cross them off your list as they are done.

Fear is one of the strongest, if not the strongest, emotion that controls who we are and the choices we make in our lives. When we fear something, we act in ways that support our belief in that fear. Fear leads to inaction, which is in itself, a choice. In business, our biggest fear is the fear of failure. We are so afraid of not succeeding that we often choose not to even try something new. Fear of failure keeps one from realizing their true potential; how do you know what you're capable of if you never step out of your comfort zone? Most of us are afraid to step out of our comfort zone, because we think it's easier than facing our fear.

The truth is, by staying within our comfort zone, we give our power away to that fear and that is a real drain on your energy. For years I refused to go on video or even worse, a web cam! I spent so much time and energy justifying why I couldn't do it. Finally, after a lot of prodding from peers that knew I had to face this fear, I got in front of the camera. Was it hard at first? YES! But after I did it, I literally got a rush of energy because I had a true sense of accomplishment. This first step gave me the courage to do it again and eventually go on live video. I won't lie, I was scared, but the more I did it, the easier it got and it gave me the confidence to take another step out of the box. The bottom line is that the only thing holding you back is YOU. Change your thoughts and take action, you'll be glad you did!

And the law assert that "you get what you approach and that your views determine your destiny". To help keep it simple; your present state within your mind is equal to your tomorrow

The most critical question anybody will ask after all this is, how can the principle have an effect on the secret laws associated with attraction in individual life? And the answer can be simple. Take a moment to reflect what is the right individual is most possible of gaining your awareness and interest? In this article, I will be sharing with you a powerful persuasion technique called mirroring or the ?chameleon effect?. A mirror shows a reflection of you and imitates whatever you are doing. Mirroring, in this case, occurs when a person copies the behaviour of another person, usually while in social interaction with them. Mirroring is a powerful persuasion technique as it can let a person drop his guard within minutes.

Mirroring includes the mimicking or copying of body languages, gestures and movements etc. For example, when you are talking to Tom during dinner and Tom smiles, you will tend to smile along with Tom. This is one form of mirroring. By mimicking the party you want to persuade, you create a sense of empathy and make them feel comfortable around you. Mirroring also sends a subtle signal that you are in agreement with the other person and this allows you to connect better with the other person and increases your chances of persuading him or her.

You could also mimic the person?s gestures and body language. For example, if Tom places his hand on his lap during conversation, or touches his nose, you could imitate that. This technique can be employed with people whom you know well or even strangers as well. By mimicking or mirroring, the other party will feel more relaxed and open up to you more. The other party may also think that you both have many similar opinions and this will help to lower their defenses against you and will increase your chances of persuading them to do what you want.

Essentially, mirroring is a subtle way of telling another person that you agree with them or that you like them. This will help to make them more comfortable around you and they will thus lower their defenses; increasing your chances of persuasive success.

So how do you perform mirroring most effectively?

Do not start to imitate the person immediately after he/she had performed a certain action!

Instead, you should wait for 2-4 seconds before you perform mirroring. In fact, we all perform mirroring subconsciously and if you pay attention, you will notice yourself doing it. Act naturally and try not to engage the other party into thinking that you are trying to imitate his movements. (He would most probably think that you?re behaving strangely) It is most important that your mirroring must not be obvious to anyone else except yourself.

You can tell that there is a sense of empathy being created when the party begins to speak more and may subconsciously mirror your movements and body languages. Try this technique now and you will be surprised by how powerful this persuasion technique is!

With the plethora of books, seminars and buzz about manifesting one's desires you might be impatient with the way things are going, which might compel you to feel on edge at times. Your sense of impatience might be the tension between what you have at present and your ideals about what your life 'should be,' which is causing your sense of unease.

Everything is in 'right order' in the Universe at all times. Likewise, all is in 'right order,' in your evolution to create your desires. Learning to calm your mind will help you to realize that although things might seem off track or aren't going according to your plan, they are within the 'right order' for your evolution with regard to your desires.

When you notice you are impatient with your life say an affirmation such as, "All is in right order." Reminding yourself to let go of impatient thoughts about the way you think things 'should be,' will release you to feel more confident and grounded, thus, you will enjoy every moment. Enjoying the moment opens the channels for a shift to occur. Focusing on what you want to avoid only creates more of the same. When you focus on 'All is in right order,' your calm mind can allow the information for next steps to come in.

Letting go of your angst allows you to be present with your life as is. When you choose remaining calm you will recognize that your thoughts cause you to wish for something other than what you have. Doing so means that instead of basking in the beauty of the moment, you are focused on something that is a misconception of 'What is.' This results in your life being a struggle. By accepting 'What is,' you can savor the serenity that comes from simply being.

Does anyone know how to eat an Elephant? You may have heard this clever quote before and the answer is one bite at a time. Or perhaps a trip of a million miles start's with the first step. Both sayings are really talking about tackling a project or endeavor of some substantial size and that the most arduous task always begins with one simple 1st step.

We have all experienced an overwhelming task or project that we really had no idea how in the world it would ever get done. I would like to share with you the greatest organizing process in the history of the world. A planning system so comprehensive and second nature, that it can organize any project, of any size and won't cost you a penny. I am talking about the mind.

For the purpose of this article, I will define a project as any item or task, big or small that is not the way you would like it to be. For example the company budget is off and needs to be tweaked or reworked. The landscaping in your front yard is not ideal and you would like to add a few more plants or flowers. Laundry just seems to pile up and you would like an easier way to manage the whole process.

The natural planning process that we all use sub-consciously can be directed and harnessed to accomplish any task. This process can tackle anything from The process has 5 very simple steps.

Step 1 is to define the purpose of the project or change and apply your personal principles to it. You have determined that an item is different than how you want it, but why? A clear definition is the key to the planning process. The definition will be defined by your own principles and internal belief system.

Step 2 is to envision the project or task in its completed state. What does that look like? More shade in the front yard? A clutter free laundry room? A new promotion based on company saving activities? The idea is to picture the completed project in its entirety.

Step 3 is to brainstorm all ideas relating to the project. At this step we don't need to focus on quality, but rather quantity. Every idea at this stage is valid and deserves some attention. Use whatever medium is comfortable. Mind mapping, computer programs, index cards etc., are all appropriate means to capture the brainstorming ideas.

Step 4 is organizing all of the ideas that developed during the brainstorming step. Take all of your brainstorming ideas and putting them in a tangible order. A few areas' to organize might be by cost, by distance or proximity, by length of time, by items involved, by resources, etc. Placeing the ideas in a logical, workable order will lead into the following step.

Step 5 is identifying the first possible action. If we have successfully created ownership of the project, and for the right reasons; the logical next step should be easy to identify. It is doing the 1st action, taking the 1st bite and walking that first step.

If you're reading this article it probably means that you are either experiencing pain from having a poor work home life balance or you have just changed your circumstances... maybe started a family... and are wondering if work home life balance is possible.

Having survived the consequences of not having a healthy work home life balance and being forced to make changes, I can personally attest to the fact that it is not only possible to have a great work home life balance... but it is also highly desirable and beneficial to do so.

In this article you will discover some of the consequences of not having a healthy work life balance. These consequences are ones that I have experienced personally and also include examples provided to me by employees in companies where I have run work home life balance programs.

The early consequences of not having a healthy work home life balance...

When your work home life balance first starts to wobble out of balance you will begin to notice things like this:

  • Your partner will start nagging, 'You're never home', 'The children miss you', 'This isn't what I agreed to', 'We never see you', 'Your work is more important than your family'. Heard any of it before?
  • Feeling guilty when you are at work because you are not with your family. This is worse if you feel you have left your partner to shoulder most of the emotional responsibility in the family.
  • Feeling guilty when you leave work;. guilty that you have left other people in the office, you didn't finish a job, you are jeopardising your career opportunities. I'm sure I don't have to tell you all the conversations that go around in your head.
  • A constant niggling feeling of inadequacy; you never seem to be either a perfect partner, parent or employee. This will sting particularly if you are used to being a perfectionist.
  • A general decline in the amount of time you spend maintaining your health. Initially you will find that you are gradually putting on weight and experiencing difficulty doing things you used to do easily.
  • You experience loss... you miss many of the important milestones and memory making moments in your family because you are at work or away travelling.
  • Dissatisfaction with loss of personal time... by the time you have met the demands of all the other people in your life there is nothing left for you... not much of a life is it? The things that you used to love doing gradually get moved into the garage and then sold... and one day you find that it is years since you made time to do things you used to love doing.

The later consequences of not having a healthy work home life balance...

Juggling everything in life can be like trying to hold water in your hands. It doesn't matter how careful you are, small drops keep escaping. One day you look down and all that is left is the memory of the water that was once there. If you don't get a good work home life balance; then in the same way that water slips through your fingers, you may let slip:

  • Your relationship with your partner and even your children through sheer neglect. Unfortunately sometimes the hurt felt by your loved ones is bigger than they can forgive and the consequences of this are unpleasant. This can leave you with a quite bitter taste in your mouth as you will justify your position by saying to yourself that you 'did it all for them.'
  • The opportunity to help shape your children's characters. Their characters will have instead been shaped by the people they spent the most time with. This is one of those losses you can never recoup.
  • The future you had planned... you may be staring down the barrel of a life filled with solitude and quiet rather than loved ones and laughter.
  • Career prospects because you didn't communicate with your employer about your needs at home and organise some alternative arrangements for a few years.
  • Poor health because you neglected it for so many years... there just wasn't time to fit in exercise and now you are paying the terrible price for it. Fortunately, unless you have done permanent damage to your body, this is one of those things you can often reverse through better diet and more exercise.
  • Low self esteem because you failed at some of the most important things in life... you failed to keep the promises you made to your partner all those years ago and you failed to keep the promise you made to yourself about your family. You let down people who relied upon you.

I didn't get my balance right and became seriously unwell. I was too busy to exercise because I was so caught up in climbing the ladder and juggling childcare arrangements with my husband. I didn't always eat as healthily as I would like. My health issues became so severe that surgery was required. Through the pain and the long recovery process I came to learn three very vital things:

  1. If you don't have your health, you don't have anything. It is your health that enables you to work, play and really enjoy life. It doesn't matter how busy you are, there is always time to look after your health.
  2. To your loved ones you are not replaceable... but to everyone else you are.
  3. A moment lost is gone forever. Every milestone you miss is a milestone you will never see.

The things you can easily do to have a better work home life balance will be discussed in future articles.

Feeding your spirit with positive energy can help you stay happy in difficult times. We have learned this lesson a time or two! This is important because in this internet marketing industry it is easy to get discouraged and give up. So having positive energy and feeling deep down within yourself can truly keep you motivated even at the low points of frustration. There have been times when we wanted to throw in the towel in our minds, but in our hearts we knew that success is what we were after. We knew that if we stayed positive and encouraged that we could make it through the rough patch that we were going through. The best thing to keep in mind when you're feeling down is that bad times don't last forever and tomorrow is always a new beginning. Just because you may have had a bad day doesn't mean that you have to have a bad tomorrow! It really is up to you, no one can make you be happy and positive if you don't allow positive thoughts to enter your mind and spirit.

One way to stay positive is to surround yourself with positive people. Believe us they are out there! And in this industry there are more of them out there that you can connect with even if you don't have someone positive living near you. This is the beauty of the internet --the ability to meet people around the world that are like minded and all striving to better themselves and others in the process. It's a comfortable feeling when you can get some words of encouragement right on your computer screen from someone who wants to help lift your spirits. With technology we are able to build relationships with people with a few clicks of a button and help change lives from the comfort of our own home. Isn't that wonderful? We think so! We believe in trying to touch as many lives as possible and help as many people we can using this powerful tool called the World Wide Web.

There are a few people on twitter that we follow that have positive tweets everyday that can lift your spirits even when you feel at your worst. We've caught ourselves thinking "Does this person know me personally?"(lol) because sometimes it feels like they are talking directly to us. A few of those people are, Tony Robbins, John C. Maxwell, Rev Run, Tony Gaskins and Ralph Marston. These are some great people to follow on twitter that will help you get through rough patches when you're feeling down. Oh and don't forget us Faith and Kirsten! We are always here and on twitter and Facebook to help uplift you and guide you to success as well. You need your spirit and mind to be on one accord so that you can move forward in a positive direction with confidence and a smile leading the way.

A positive attitude changes the way you look at the world. There was a point where when we didn't have any direction in life and we looked at everything to end up bad. Thinking like that lead us straight to the negative. If you want good things to happen to you, you must first expect those things to happen for you! The power of positive thinking can move mountains if you are willing to step outside of the negative shadow that the world tries to bring your way. You have a choice everyday and with every situation on whether or not you're going to look at it in a positive light, or if you're going to see it negatively. Which way of thinking will you choose? It's up to you!

Now that I've gotten your attention...

It sounds crazy but it's true, we need problems, and as much as we might hate them we need them.

You're having one of the best moments of your life that you've ever experienced in a long time or ever at all. Everything seems perfect, life couldn't be sweeter. For the first time in a long while you feel like things are finally starting to go your way, then without notice PROBLEM! Unexpectedly it happens and because it happened so quickly you didn't know how to react. You didn't have time to plan for it, you didn't think it could ever happen to you, things were so great, now it seems like the worse moment of your life. Depression, frustration, stress, deprivation, they all start to settle in one by one, and you're sure dying could be better than what you're going through right now.

Yet...we need problems. Why?

Problems make us Stronger. You ever had a problem and it just completely drained every single being of your existence? Emotionally, physically, mentally, spiritually, it just completely drained you. The burden was so much on you that your body began feeling weak, your mind drifted and suddenly you felt as though every part of you is here and yet you are not. Yet there exists that moment, that simple moment when you don't know how and you don't know where, but somehow you found the solution to that problem. Suddenly you felt as though you could lift the world on your shoulders, and certain things that made you feel useless and helpless can be conquered with a mere thought. You feel as though you could walk into an arena with a battle axe and defeat the greatest foe. You feel stronger than you've ever been. Why? Because strength is derived from adversity; the more difficult the problem, the stronger you will become once you've overcome it.

Problems make us more Courageous. Problem hits; you're worried, you're anxious, you're fearful. This is only because you don't know what to do, and that's okay. We aren't going to always know what to do, and when we don't we feel completely helpless to the situation, and fear what will result because of our helplessness. Now you've stopped, thought about it, and decided that you didn't want to be fearful or feel helpless and you found a way to solve the problem. It worked! Suddenly you feel relieved, you feel confident, you feel as though you have the courage to conquer any problem that confronts you. Why? Because you have now realized that fear doesn't solve problems, courage to face the fear and the problem does. The more you face them and succeed the more courage you will develop to conquer any problem you are faced with.

Problems make us more Determined. How? Because we need problems to become better individuals. Problems also exist to make us wiser and not repeat past mistakes, and also drives us incredibly to achieving greater than we ever thought possible, just so we won't have the discomfort of experiencing certain problems ever again.

Problems make us Grow. When you are faced with a problem that you solved, it inevitably makes you (1).Stronger, (2).Wiser, (3).More courageous, (4).More determined, and (5).Gives you a greater appreciation for who you are and what you are capable of doing. Take note of the wording used stronger, wiser, more courageous, more determined, gives you a greater appreciation. In case you didn't notice you are now better than you were before; a more valuable person to yourself and others than you were before. That is what truly represents growth and personal development, the ability to be a better person than you were before.

Did I mention it makes life more Exciting. Imagine how dull life would be without its little dramas to knock us out of our comfort zones, to get up, and make a better person out of ourselves.

That problem that you're running from, fearing, or worrying about is there to uncover the person who you truly are. That coal that laid beneath the earth waiting to be mined and refined into the finest diamond. To be strengthened, encouraged, to grow, and imparted with greater knowledge and determination.

Problems suck, they're the worse, but in life even the worse of things can end up being the best of things, you just have to look for the best in every situation.

Remember: Every problem has a solution, every problem has a purpose.

All the Best.

Quotes are inspiring... They get you to dream and use your imagination. They often nudge one to take action on there goals.

One of my favorite quote comes from napoleon hill stating "Knowledge is only Potential Power"

Think about that for just a moment... "Knowledge is only potential power" When I think of this quote to live by it makes me reflect on my journey as an entrepreneur. I have been receiving tons of information regarding Internet Marketing, Business Opportunities, Personal Development Material, Spirituality, and I Knew a lot about a lot of things.

One would say that knowledge is power, but if that was the case I should have been on of the most powerful of them all. What is really good about the quote to live by napoleon hill is that it strikes the balance between what we understood at first and what we understand now.

Knowledge is only powerful when you use it. Most people stop at just knowing how to do something but don't take the initiative to actually do anything. One good example are people who want to lose weight. Most of the people in the United States know what they need to do to lose weight.

But they don't do it. The method on how to lose weight will never change but the tools by which you lose weight seem to transform every month. You have the lap band, from a dumbbell that shakes in your hand to stimulate muscle tension as if your actually doing the exercise. You can't get pass the fact that you have to consume less fat then you burn.

I was in kindergarten when I kissed my first boy. But I have to tell you he was the cutest little thing with red hair and lots of freckles! Since I'd grown up with only sisters I had no idea you weren't supposed to kiss boys. I'm sure I never thought about the ramifications when my teacher and my parents found out either. But after all, I was only five!

Ah, confession. It's good for the soul. I remember when my oldest son was sitting around the table with our family one day when he was about 28 years old and confessed to doing something in high school that absolutely floored me.

We had an old fire extinguisher that you could fill up and pressurize. One day he and his friend filled it up with water, pressurized it and went for a ride. First, they went to a well known hamburger joint in our town and ordered take-out. When they got to the take-out window they pulled up the fire extinguisher and let 'er rip, as he said. They completely blew all the food off the counter inside and the girl who took their order was soaked to the bone. Then they took off squealing their tires. Now, let me tell you, it was funny when he told me this, but it would have been his undoing if I'd known about it back then! I'm amazed he never got arrested!

Another confession came from my brother-in-law. When he got his driver's license he did some wild things. One thing he did he never told anybody about until it was too late.

My father-in-law took impeccable care of his cars. This one was a brand new 1969 Chevrolet station wagon that we took to Florida pulling a pop-up camper. There were seven of us traveling in that station wagon and it got pretty crowded, but we had a great time. Once we got to Florida the car started acting up and all of a sudden it just quit! This is a brand-new car we're talking about here.

We parked our little camper next to the repair garage and actually had to stay there for three days! We didn't have money to rent another car to pull the camper so we were stuck. It was some sort of vacation, believe me! Not until the repair man told Dad that something big broke underneath the car, it would cost $1,500, and they fixed the car did my brother-in-law Mike step forward.

Mike had taken the car into town the night before we left on vacation and ran over a PIG! Yes, you read correctly, a pig-a sow, to be exact, that had escaped from a local farm. Probably weighing in at 800 or 900 pounds! Wow, that would break just about anything! The consequences from that confession lasted, I believe, until Mike could pay off the debt he owed his father. It was a long, long trip home for Michael.

Confessing our sins should be nothing new to us if we're believers. God is an avid listener and One who always forgives. This doesn't give us a license to sin, but gives us a way out of our old nature's sinful habits. It frees us to worship as we unload our burden of sin at His feet.

You have within you an inner spiritual guru. There is a part of you there in residence, right now.

No matter how busy it is on the external part of your life - in the core and truth of your being, you already are in residence in the inner spiritual guru of total peace, wisdom, compassion, forgiveness and aliveness. In your core is where all answers are known, all peace is found and all rest is assured.

Pause now. Contemplate your inner knowledge. Knowledge awakened from within is different from surface intellectual knowledge. Accessing your inner knowledge is easily done through controlling your mind and developing a sensitive nature. Knowledge awakened from within is experiential knowledge gathered through many incarnations. If you encounter something within you that you want to set aside until later, such as sadness, shame, guilt or anger give yourself permission to do so. You can take heart and comfort in knowing that all things are lined up in harmony to work together for your good.

To access your inner spiritual guru, consciously relax your body. Breathe deeply and from the diaphragm. Let go of tensions in your solar plexus. Breathe as a baby breathes, avoid moving the chest up and down, but by allowing the diaphragm to lower and expand naturally, moving your abdomen out and in. Think of the action of a bellows, which when expanded creates a vacuum and allows air to enter.

Pause now and go to your inner spiritual guru and live from your deepest awareness and wisdom. Take your whole Self there to revel in the peace, wisdom, aliveness and joy. Savor the flavor of the richness of your deepest self - your inner spiritual guru.

Have you ever feared performing or speaking in front of an audience? Your nerves jump, your stomach churns, your heart races, and you lose sleep over it. Don't fret, being nervous is natural! Did you know Barbra Streisand refused to perform in front of an audience for years? So, whether you are preparing for your school play or going on tour with Lady Gaga; here are 5 tips to overcome stage fright and performance anxiety.

Briefly, there are two general reasons why we ALL have this fear and for the most part, it's purely psychological.

Psychological Fears include audience response, forgetting your lines or choreography and lack of self confidence. These fears trigger the human fight or flight response. Hence, adrenaline is pumped to the body which brings us to physical factors.

Physical Responses include increased vibrato or singing off pitch, sweaty hands and dry mouth. Here are 5 tips to overcome stage fright:

1. Rehearse, Rehearse, Rehearse. Yes, train like a gold medal athlete. You have a few moments to make a first impression, make it good!! Also, if you develop dry mouth and cannot get a drink of water, slightly bite the tip of your tongue.

2. Visualize Success. Picture yourself receiving a standing ovation at Carnegie Hall. Remind yourself you are prepared!

3. Turn your nervousness into confidence. Channel your nervous energy into your performance.

4. Focus on your message/art NOT on yourself. If you are too worried about yourself, your message and art will be lost.

5. Take a deep breath and HAVE FUN!

So, there you have it, 5 tips to overcome stage fright. Though, it may still exist, now you will know how to better deal with performance anxiety. Remember, a great career doesn't come by luck. It takes LOTS of hard work and you can do it!! So get out there and rock it!

Spring is just around the corner and you probably have been thinking of taking a trip then to the beach. But you also have probably been wondering how you can get yourself to look good and ready for the beach in order to attract as much attention from the opposite sex right?

If that is the case, then you might be interested to know that you can actually get yourself looking hot in a very short period of time. Here are some tips to help you get started.

The first time you should do is the begin a fitness routine today and start now, even if you think that you would not have enough time to get into the shape you want like to have. Even if you don't manage to get yourself into the shape you want, starting a fitness routine will still be able to help you build up the confidence you have since you would know that you are already well on your way there. Being more confident also helps you to behave differently in your body language, which does sometimes have a huge impact on the way other people look at you.

The next thing you should do of course is to go shopping for a great bathing suit. I am sure that you have noticed before that certain types of clothing seems to help to bring out your personality more than the others. By choosing a great bathing suit that is consistent with your personality and body, you would be able to draw a lot more attention to yourself as compared to a normal suit.

After that, you should try to get a good tan. Having a good tan at the beach will make a huge difference in the way you look when you are at the beach. You probably have seen some people at the beach whom you could tell that they haven't seen the sun for years, and they looked a little funny even though they might be someone really attractive.

Getting a fresh haircut would also be a great idea. Although this may not seem like a big deal at first as compared to losing a little weight and so on, getting a new haircut that is fitting for your facial structure style is one of the easiest and fastest way to a key change in your personal appearance and boosting your self-confidence. Although you might think that it would be pointless since your hair would be messed up once you hit the water, the boost in self-confidence that you get can sometimes really make a huge difference.

There are cycles that we move in that create moods. We may have certain routines that are necessary for us to function in life. One such is going to bed at a certain hour so that we can be on time for work the next morning. If we disrupt this cycle we might be grumpy in the morning. Some cycles, of which we may not be aware, have been instilled in us since childhood, like having fish on Fridays or church on the weekend. One obvious cycle that can evoke certain moods is the menstrual cycle. Although moods and cycles are usually associated with women we all have them. Men have them and women have them. The key is to be aware of the moods that cycles produce and to balance them.

Let's go back to the fish example. This is a completely made up scenario, so follow me and try to see the parallel in your own situation. Say the fish you have on Fridays has been coupled with a sense of completion of the week. It's a good feeling. Suddenly, you join with Mr. Wonderful and he suggests steak on Fridays. You oblige at first, but grow more and more discontent. You are not sure what is the source of discontentment, so you blame spending time with him on Fridays. One day you blow up at him and you are both confused. If you practice being in touch with your cycles and moods, you can get to the point where you realize that you had an expectation of fish on Fridays. You can explain to him why you blew up, and the two of you can find ways to create a winning situation. You can find other ways to feel that sense of completion at the end of the week or he can compromise on eating steak on Fridays. Either way the result is, you GROW STRONGER AS A COUPLE. You gain understanding about yourself and he gains an understanding about you.

I know this seems like a silly story, and knowing yourself at that level may seem like a big task if you are not the introspective type. Yet, this kind of self-awareness can guarantee a long successful relationship.

Stir it up:
Begin to review your cycles and your moods. Whenever you feel overwhelmed with a positive or negative emotion ask yourself why. Explore the origin of the emotion. Is it related to an experience you are having at that moment? Could it be tied to an automatic response from a cycle? Find ways to successfully balance your negative moods such as bath soaks, meditation, writing, prayer, or asking for 30 minutes alone in a room. Remember to give your partner space to work through his cycles and moods and be ready to compromise for a win-win situation.

Have you ever wonder why some people seems to be God?s favorite because even with the least effort, they continue to receive blessings after blessings while some seems to be cursed because in spite of working so hard, all they reap are hardships and troubles?

For years, people are made to believe that there is nothing or little we can do about fate. One of the greatest misconceptions is that some people are simply born lucky. Some would depend on the principle of karma and justify their misfortunes by a bad deed they must have done on their past life.

But one revolutionary way of thinking changed all that. The Law of Attraction is a belief that every good or bad thing that happens to people is a result of one?s thinking. Positive thinkers are successful because they emit good energy that attracts the universe to help him get everything he wants, no matter how impossible it may be.

This new way of thinking is even made popular by a book that was written by Rhonda Byrne entitled The Secret. This bestseller book shares the wonderful principle that man is capable of greatness, only if he develops the right way of thinking. This concept seeks to open the eyes of people to the fact that there is no limit to what one can achieve. It would also help individuals develop their full potential.

The heart of the Law of Attraction is positive thinking and people who believe in its power vows to eradicate pessimism and negative behavior. According to the Law of Attraction, our lives are influenced by what we think and by the decisions we make based on our thoughts. Therefore, it is important to think positively. Everyone must strive to develop his or her powers of thought. Through positive thinking, we can accomplish the unthinkable and achieve what seem impossible.

Humans are extremely versatile. As we continue saying no to the negative, we will begin to see our hidden talents developing. The word, I can, is a wonderful key to unlock countless doors. We are more skillful, more gifted, and possibly more intelligent than we have ever imagined. It is well within our powers to be determined, patient, self-reliant industrious, painstaking, accurate, punctual, strong, helpful, and responsible.

If we simply believe, we can develop better memory, a stronger will, more self-confidence, a greater facility with words, and greater organizing ability. In short, with affirmative thinking, we can get things done.

It means that we can enrich our lives by calling upon our dormant and hidden powers. Humans are very capable of achieving great things. We just have to believe that we can fulfill all of our dreams.

To be positive means saying no to negative thoughts, feelings, and actions. It is about forgetting loneliness and depression and rejecting harmful sentiments like anger and jealousy. We should stop thinking that we are weak and slow. Instead, we should accept, venture, try, hope, expect, and love. We should rejoice in the good, the colorful, and the beautiful. Welcome success in your life and work for it.

You will be surprised that your future will go forward, and not backwards. Life will get better and better as you welcome the positive. you will enjoy sound health and have abundant vitality. You will reap success after success in work and in personal matter. The world will be a better place as all kinds of opportunities will come!

We must not allow negative thought such as, I can never do this. Our brain is more resourceful and flexible than we can realize. Do not be afraid to stretch it and you will see that the brain will rise to heavier demands. We should be confident of our own hidden powers that are just waiting to be unleashed and used.

We should all make war on negative thinking. Observe that if someone thinks of sickness, that person will get sick. If we are always afraid of accidents, then there is possibility that it will come your way. Instead we should expect good things ? success, health, improvement, prosperity. Displace despair with hope.

Some will say that this affirmative thinking is nothing new. Norman Vincent Pale calls it positive thinking. Robert Schuler used the term possibility thinking. Clemet Stone talks about PMA - positive mental attitude. Maxwell Maltz coined the term psycho-cybernetics.

However, one of the ironies of the human condition is that old truths have to be reminded again. A truth that has been proved million of times through the ages will be questioned because of its very antiquity. We have to learn it all over again, sometimes dressing it up in a new garb.

Thus, each generation and each individual has to be convinced anew that love is better than hate, that peace is better than war, that virtue is better than vice, and that positive thinking brings success and negative thinking produces failure.
