Have you heard the saying "Do what you love and never work a day?"

Ask a child what he wants to be when he grows up, you'd be amazed at what that child would say. It could range from being an astronaut, the president, doctor, even a singer. That child see's a world without boundaries or limits. In an innocent child's eyes the world is filled with endless possibilities. Children will eagerly engage themselves in blissful fantasies acting out whatever their hearts content.

It doesn't matter if their friends want to be something else they're determined to be whatever they desire. Children live their life in their own make believe world. They tend to have a strong amorous feeling about what they want to be when they grow up, much like a passion.

It's not until most children actually grow up that their passion fades. What causes the passion to fade?

Lies We Tell Ourselves

The approval of others is more important than what we really desire. If I tell someone I want to be an astronaut they'll laugh or even disapprove. None of my friends are astronaut's maybe I need to be doing what everybody else is doing.

Ego Gets In the Way

I don't want people to think I'm odd or like going against the grain. What I desire really doesn't pay that much money, and I have to earn as much as my friends and associates.

So we stick with the same dead end job going nowhere because we're too afraid to think outside the box or take a risk. Sometimes it takes years for people to take a step to get themselves out of a stagnant situation.

When doing anything you love it can only bring satisfaction within. You're more content with life and you feel you're in a place you want to be. A place called "inner peace". Stress is removed and you find more time for meaningful relationships. When you open the door to love and passion it usually means positive things are on its way. Find your passion and the money will usually follow. When the money comes you'll be sure to do more things you love.

How to Find Your Passion

Take time out for yourself. Spend time finding out what you want to do. Be careful not to think about what others would think. This is the time to let go of your ego. Try not to factor how much money you will make, or how much it would cost, you'll tend to place limits on what you desire.

Have Faith

Remember to dream big, and have faith that you're capable of doing whatever you can think up. Try not to be fearful. Fear can be your worst enemy. I'm sure you've heard the acronym for fear. False Evidence Appearing Real. Remember to have faith that your desire can manifest. Keep a positive outlook this will help you to move in the right direction.

Act on Inspirations

If you have an impulse, calling, or passion to do something, no matter how silly or crazy it may seem to everyone else, act on it anyway. Some of the greatest inventions were made by people who were told their ideals were rubbish.

Remember to Have Fun

Try to have fun while finding your passion. Don't make it a chore to come up with something. Your passion should come from a joyful place. Try to find something that comes easy to you and feels exciting and rewarding, then you'll know what it means to do what you love and never work a day.
