1. God is faithful in that in the midst of our mischief He continues to extend grace giving us more time to sort ourselves out. The beauty about it is that He then gives you the Holy Spirit who helps you to surgically identify and compile your to-do list. What matters is your willingness to deal with issues before they become an embarrassment.

2. Hurt me with the truth than please me with a lie. The truth does bring pain sometimes but it is a lot better than living in a screen n a wallpaper of lies and deception. Great people know how to tell the truth as candidly as possible. There is no time to waste giving false impressions because people will make important decisions on what you tell them.

3. The pain linked to your integrity far outweighs the temporary pleasure of mischief. It is the integrity in your name that will defend you and speak on your behalf when you have capacity to defend yourself.

4. Sin can never be categorized into big and small. No matter what it is, one size fits all. A murderer is as sinful as one who whispers falsehoods. It is therefore crucial for people to work out their salvation with fear and trembling knowing that those who may be considered sinners will surprise us as they enter heaven.

5. Influence is the ability to get others to do what you want them to do. Any leader who has no one to give tasks will soon suffer from burn out and fatigue. A leader would rather influence through setting a good example, motivating and serving those he/she leads than use other forms of influence such as manipulation and force. The latter breed rebellion.

6. Maturity is being able to accept that one can never be the knowledge-base of every aspect of life. There are areas you are good at that others do not have a clue about. You could however be ignorant about issues that other people know to the core. Never despise the wisdom you can get from a seemingly unimportant person.

7. You can never eat an elephant in one bite but through several small and manageable chunks. Similarly you can never finish a bag of sugar in one meal but a spoon at a time. Businesses are also built precept upon precept not overnight. Take caution that you do not lose your entire business one dollar at a time with weak systems that make up the business.

8. The worst transactions are the ones you enter into with people you know or are related to. There is usually a false sense of trust but when the transaction now turns around to haunt the parties involved, it becomes clear that every transaction should be clear from the onset to avoid assumptions and unnecessary anxiety.

9. It is easy to see faults in the children of others and be blind to the ones in your own house. As a rule of thumb, never advocate for people to behave in a certain way when you can not enforce the same in your own children. When you can prove how possible it is by doing it and modelling it for all to see then people will not wait for instructions.

10. You should never lose sleep over what is not within your power to change or control. Use your energy in areas where you can make a positive difference. Any moments spent in anxiety and worry is wasted energy. Peace is not the absence of challenges.
